Making tax digital starts in April 2019
Making tax digital is making fundamental changes to the way the tax system works.
HMRC believe that transforming the tax administration system will make it more effective, more efficient and easier for taxpayers to get it right.
There have been various historical delays in the implementation of making tax digital and the original proposals for its implementation have changed. However, the UK Treasury has signalled that the implementation will now happen in April 2019 for most VAT registered businesses and so we need to plan for these changes.
